Labor Day Parade
The Labor Day parade was always a must- the floats, the sights and sounds, the people waving and the animals. The animals, as the marched down main street, would mesmerize her. She’d gather up the candy that had been tossed her way but would always keep one eye to what was en route, trying to gauge when another group was to come. When she saw them, the horses and the dogs, she would announce with such excitement it could not be denied as to what she had spotted. We’d watch her watch for them- it was as if she would hold her breath until the perfect moment when she’d be able to reach out and stroke the mane or be nose to nose with a furry friend. When that moment arrived she would exhale and be content in that very moment.
We wish, whatever this day brings, your Labor Day is steeped in rest from whatever labors you are called and you are content in its every moment.
