NEWTOWN WILDLIFE PANEL
“Safely Coexisting with Wildlife”
Newtown is one of the most beautiful communities in all of Connecticut – a place where people and wildlife share a home among the woodlands, open spaces, walking trails, streams and meadows. However, finding the balance between coexisting with nature while protecting humans and animals can often be a challenge. Despite many good intentions, misinformation and practices often lead to unfortunate outcomes for our wildlife friends.
On Sunday, November 12th from 1-2:30pm, the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary will be hosting a Newtown Wildlife Panel with experts from across the state including Wildlife in Crisis, Beardsley Zoo, Newtown Animal Control and Wild Birds Unlimited. Together, they will share strategies to embrace our wildlife neighbors in the healthiest and most responsible ways…a win-win for humans and animals! A question and answer session will also be available for specific community questions.
The Newtown Wildlife Panel is free and open to the public and will be held at the Newtown Community Center at 8 Simpson Street. For more information, please email the CVH Animal Sanctuary at info@cvhfoundation.org.
