Did you know frogs can make different sounds for different reasons such as chirps, barks, grunts, peeps, beeps, croaks and quacks? Join us along with the experts from FrogWatch USA as we listen, monitor and identify native frogs who call Newtown home. A great opportunity to get outdoors while collecting important data that will help protect wetlands and local frog & toad populations.
FrogWatch USA is a national community science project focused on inspiring conservation through education. We are grateful to bring this important event to the community in partnership with The Peabody-Beardsley-Maritime FrogWatch Chapter.
On the evening of the event, please meet in the parking area of Dickinson Park off of Deep Brook Rd. Guests should wear appropriate attire and mud proof/waterproof hiking boots, bring a headlamp or flashlight. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
