Free Event For All Ages
Wednesday, July 12th
8:15 – 9:30 pm
Remember the slow summer days of long ago…evening walks surrounded by a choir of crickets while fireflies emerged through the twilight stillness? We invite you to join us for a beautiful evening under the stars as we reacquaint ourselves with the peace, LIGHT and tranquility of our nighttime friends.
Led by entomologist, Dr. Rayda Krell, we’ll explore the world of nocturnal insects who call the sanctuary meadows home. From moths to fireflies to our favorite chirping crickets, our entomologist experts will help us recognize these amazing creatures by sight and sound. A mid-summer nights dream like no other!
Free and open to the public (limited to 60 guests). All ages welcome but please note hiking will be in the dark on uneven terrain.
