Dedicated to compassion and community enrichment, the sanctuary’s pioneering programs teach humans how to care for animals and their habitats. Led by leading experts in the state, free and low-cost workshops offer hands-on activities, nature exploration, wonder and discovery for all ages, abilities and interests. Together, we’re creating a “culture of caring” by helping animals and empowering people to be kinder to one another and the planet.
“I’ve always loved dogs and cats, but the sanctuary’s programs taught me that all creatures are important. When I found two orphaned mice in my yard, I knew I had to save them and get them help. Most people think small creatures or bugs are disposable, but the sanctuary taught me that every animal deserves to be loved and protected.” Max V. – 14-year-old
