From a little girl’s birthday wish to bring all her favorite animals together, Catherine’s Butterfly Party has blossomed over ten years into a place where love lives in wagging tails, gentle hands and beautiful new beginnings.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, this milestone celebration remains FREE to participating rescue organizations and the more than 12,000 people who attend every year. This allows animal welfare groups to focus on finding loving homes, families to focus on being together and a community to gather in compassion. Together with our sponsors, we’re celebrating a decade of bringing love home and making sure this special day continues to be accessible to all.

This milestone celebration proudly supports rescue agencies from across the tri-state area, offering a unique opportunity to showcase their adoptable animals to thousands of potential adopters – an extraordinary level of visibility many organizations would not otherwise have access to. Thanks to the generosity of our Royal Rescue sponsors, participation for animal welfare groups is completely free, allowing them to focus on what matters most: connecting animals with loving families.

At Catherine’s Butterfly Party, learning comes to life through face-to-face encounters with the animals who share our world. Visitors meet incredible animal ambassadors and connect directly with conservationists, wildlife rehabilitators, and educators who are working every day to protect and care for the natural world. From opossums and reptiles to birds of prey, amphibians, waterfowl, moths, and butterflies, these hands-on experiences inspire compassion and curiosity for all ages.

For ten years, humane education has been a steady pillar of our mission, helping us build a future where love for animals truly comes home.
